What are the key issues at stake in the 2026 Florida elections? The Florida Trib Primary Election Preview took place on July 30 with a discussion of the races, candidates and issues taking center stage in statewide elections, starting with the primary on August 18.

Moderated by Executive Editor Nate Monroe, reporters Kate Payne and Trinity Webster-Bass — as well as voters across the state — discussed a variety of topics playing a role in the elections, including school choice, legislative changes to voting, property taxes, why only about a quarter of registered voters go to the polls in the August primaries, and much more.
