What’s on the ballot in the August and November elections? Here’s what you need to know!

In November: Abortion rights, marijuana legalization, school board partisanship, and Florida and U.S. elections
In November’s general election, voters will elect the president, Florida’s U.S. senator, congressional representatives and state legislators.
Duval County voters will also vote in the runoff for County Court Judge Group 9, and voters in Duval County School Board District 5 will also vote in that runoff.
Florida voters will also consider six ballot initiatives proposing changes to the Florida Constitution in November:
- Amendment 1: Partisan School Boards. Would require members of district school boards to be elected in a partisan election rather than a nonpartisan election starting in 2026.
- Amendment 2: Right to fish and hunt. Would enshrine in the Florida Constitution the right to fish and hunt as a public right and as the preferred means of managing and controlling fish and wildlife.
- Amendment 3: Marijuana legalization. Would allow adults 21 or older to possess, purchase or use marijuana.
- Amendment 4: Abortion rights. Would remove abortion restrictions before viability or to protect the health of the patient as determined by the patient’s healthcare provider.
- Amendment 5: Homestead exemptions. Would require an annual adjustment for inflation to the value of current or future homestead exemptions that apply solely to levies other than school district taxes.
- Amendment 6: Campaign finance repeal. Would repeal the provision of the Florida Constitution that requires public financing for campaigns of candidates for statewide office who agree to campaign spending limits.
Voters will also choose representatives to the Florida House of Representatives in:
- District 12: Incumbent Wyman Duggan (R) faces challenger Benjamin Sandlin (D).
- District 15: Incumbent Dean Black (R) faces challenger Gary McManus (D).
- District 16: Incumbent Kiyan Michael (R) faces challenger Rachel Grage (D).
