The first annual Local News Day on April 9 brought together hundreds of local newsrooms across the country to celebrate the essential role local news and information plays in our everyday lives — from helping people make informed decisions to strengthening community connection and accountability.
To celebrate Local News Day, The Florida Trib brought together journalists and speakers to events across the state to talk about the role of fact-based news and information in strong communities. The Florida Trib is thankful for the partnership of three independent bookstores across Tallahassee, Neptune Beach, and Coral Gables that made these events possible!
