Tropical Storm Debby has forced changes to the start of early voting in Northeast Florida, with Duval County pushing back its originally scheduled Monday start date by two days.

Duval County Elections Supervisor Jerry Holland announced that early voting in the August elections in Jacksonville will now begin on Wednesday at 10 a.m. August’s ballots include elections for Duval County School Board and county and circuit judges.

The elections office will be closed Monday due to the storm, with plans for staff to reopen Tuesday, Holland said in a Facebook post. Voting will start the next day.

Mail ballots must be turned in by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Aug. 20.

News4Jax reported Sunday that the latest weather forecasts suggest the storm will begin impacting Jacksonville Sunday night and could last into Wednesday, with the storm hovering over the area.

Other Northeast Florida counties appear to be keeping their originally scheduled early voting start dates this week:

Nassau County will also begin early voting on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Putnam County appears to be keeping its original Monday start date.

Clay and Baker counties will open early voting on Thursday, Aug. 8.

St. Johns County‘s early voting period begins on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Voters must bring current, valid photo ID to vote early.
